H-Script 1.0.5: Safer Updates and Recovery

Stronger backup protection, recovery checks, and clearer update status in the Configurator.

H-Script 1.0.5 focuses on installation reliability. The Configurator now distinguishes the installed application and database versions from the available update, detects unfinished updates, and explains which checks need attention. File integrity scans can continue in smaller steps without requiring one long browser session.

We strengthened backup handling with stricter file permissions and protection against accidental overwrites. Scheduled recovery checks help operators verify that a backup can actually be restored. Additional diagnostics make it easier to assess application health, background jobs, and update readiness.

The release also adds HTTPS domain ownership verification for installations behind a separate nginx server or CDN. This supports setups where the server’s inbound and outbound IP addresses differ.

For existing installations, version 1.0.5 includes a database schema update from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2. Run it through the Configurator using the normal backup-protected update process.
